Do you allow reservations?
Because of our open-air layout and casual counter service, we don’t take reservations. Seating is first-come, first-served—feel free to arrive early to grab a good spot!
Are pets allowed?
Absolutely- We love dogs at Abbott Square! Pups are welcome in our outdoor areas, just please keep them leashed and out of vendor stalls for everyone’s comfort. Need a water bowl? Just ask a busser- we’re happy to help.
How do I apply for a job at Abbott Square Market?

If you’re interested in working at a specific kiosk inside the market, we recommend stopping by in person and dropping off your resume directly at that kiosk.
Is there still music if it’s raining?
Unfortunately, we have to cancel live music when it rains, as we currently only offer outdoor entertainment. Thanks for understanding, and we look forward to seeing you again when the sun is shining!
Does Abbott Square Market sell gift cards?
Abbott Square vendors operate independently, so we don’t have a single gift card that works at all the spots. We recommend checking directly with your favorite vendor to see if they offer their own!
Do you have free Wi-Fi?
Yes! Abbott Square Market offers free public Wi-Fi, provided by Cruzio internet. You can connect to the open network named Abbott Square WiFi by Cruzio.
Is there nearby parking?
Yes! There are several parking options within walking distance of Abbott Square Market. The closest is the Soquel/Front garage at 601 Front St, just a short walk away. You can find a full map of downtown Santa Cruz parking garages here: cityofsantacruz.com
Where are you located?
Abbott Square Market is located in the heart of downtown Santa Cruz at 725 Front Street and 118 Cooper Street, right next to the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History (MAH).
You can enter from Front Street or Cooper Street, or walk through the Cooper House tunnel from Pacific Avenue. We're just steps away from the main downtown strip, making it an easy stop whether you're walking, biking, or driving.
Do you allow outside food and drink?
We kindly ask that guests enjoy food and drinks from our market vendors only. Outside items are not permitted, as our vendors help support and sustain the shared space here at Abbott Square.
Can I host a private event at Abbott Square?
Absolutely! While our general seating is first-come, first-served, we do offer private rental options for special occasions. To learn more about availability and pricing, please contact Jessi at jessib@santacruzmah.org. She’ll be happy to assist you with the details.
Is there a lost and found?
Yes! We have a lost and found and would love to help you locate your lost item. You can swing by the market and ask one of our busser’s- or you can email us at hello@abbottsquaremarket.com
